Hours of Operation:

Monday to Friday from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm for outpatient bookings. Please note that hours of operation may vary depending on the service.

Call 519-421-4204 for Diagnostic Imaging. Call 519-539-7838 for routine mammogram appointments through the Ontario Breast Screening Program.

Accessing this Service:

A written referral from an authorized healthcare provider is required for all services except for the Ontario Breast Screening Program.  For many of the services, you will need to bring the appropriate requisition and/or checklist form, along with your health card.

  • Computed Axial Tomography (CT)

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

  • Mammography

  • Nuclear Medicine (NM)

  • Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)

bone mineral density. They use state-of-the-art equipment in order to produce images of internal structures of the body, for the purpose of accurate and early diagnosis.

In February 2018, the Diagnostic Imaging Department evolved with a new Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). The PACS is used to store digital images from imaging equipment and allows physicians to quickly and easily share medical imaging reports electronically.

The Diagnostic Imaging Department at WH provides the following services: 

  • Bone Mineral Density (BMD)

  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Mammography
  • Nuclear Medicine (NM)
  • Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP)
  • Ultrasound (US)

Please note, that the new MRI Requisition Form is mandatory, along with the Appropriateness Checklists in order to book an MRI of the knee or spine.
