Monday through to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There are occasional evening bookings for some CT's that run until 8 p.m.
Accessing this Service:
Your physician's office will make the appointment for you. Please bring a list of your current medications, your Health Card and filled CT Requisition form to your appointment. You can find requisition form on our Forms page under Ministry Provided Forms.
Exams include scans of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, extremities and vascular contrast studies.
CT stands for "computed tomography". CT scans provide highly detailed images of every region of the body and are most commonly used to examine the brain, chest, abdomen/pelvis and back. Scans of any other body region can also be obtained. CT is useful to evaluate the body for signs of infection, masses, trauma, degenerative changes etc. The radiologist will interpret the exam and the results will be sent to your physician within 3 to 5 days.
